Q: 1. Am I required to register prior to using the site?
No. You can access the list wizards without registering. However to save or purchase a list you must be registered and have a userid and password.

Q: 2. How much does it cost to register on the site?
There is no fee associated with registration; nor are you obligated to purchase a list.

Q: 3. How much do the lists cost?
The cost varies based on the number of records, the type of list, and the number of fields (columns) included in your list. You will be shown a counter to gage the number of records in your search. You also will be shown the price and have the opportunity to change your list characteristics prior to purchase.

No. Sample data is not accessible through the site.

Q: 7. What type of information can I get from AHAData.com?
From the AHAData.com list wizards you can get lists of hospitals and their characteristics such as beds, admissions, and births. You can also define your list based on the hospital characteristics, such as whether the hospital provides hemodialysis. You can also get a list of key hospital personnel.

Q: 8. What is the source of the data used in the lists?
The AHA Annual Survey of hospitals, he AHA membership database, and Health Forum circulation lists from Hospitals & Health Networks, Health Facilities Management, and Materials Management in Health Care are the primary sources of data.

Q: 9. What payment methods can I use?
Credit card payment is preferred, including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. A secure ecommerce site is used for payment. For frequent visits or purchases you may want to consider a Running Tab: a convenient way to prepay for future use. Q: 10. What is the format of the list I will receive?
Lists are delivered in Microsoft Excel format.

Q: 11. How long will it take for my list to be delivered to me?
Lists without personnel contacts are available for download immediately after credit card payment has been authorized. Lists with personnel contacts require approval on the use of the list. Approval is typically granted (or denied) within 24 hours of the list request.

Q: 12. I received a promotion code. How can I use it?
Promotion codes can be entered on the Purchase Screen and the balance due will be calculated based on the promotion code.

Q: 13. I forget my userid and password. How can they be reset?
Send an email to kjackson@healthforum.com or to the Resource Center at rc@aha.org for userid and/or password questions. Please include your first and last name in your email.

Q: 14. I cant locate a file I already purchased. Is it still accessible?
Files remain accessible for at least 60 days following purchase. Login to the site and select Report History and the type of Wizard used to create your list.

Q: 15. What are the terms and conditions for use of the data?
You will have an opportunity to accept or decline the terms and conditions prior to purchasing a list. If your intended use is beyond the terms of the agreement, or if you need a special license agreement to accommodate redistribution, contact Kimberly Jackson at kjackson@healthforum.com or 312.422.2107.
